Shape Shifting Project

Titled: "Fragility", "One Per Lifetime", "Solo", "Side Effects","Critics" & "How Much Will You Bet?"

Medium: Collage (magazine cutouts and printed images)

Concept: This project explored my experiences with alopecia and its complexity. Using two found images for each piece, I communicated different aspects of the challenges I’ve faced that may be less well known. This includes the gamble of injection medication, insurance policies covering wigs, and the fragility that comes from showering knowing clumps of your hair are falling out. It also portrays the feelings that come from these challenges, allowing viewers to understand my work based on their lives.
